Growing & Glowing

TWO WEEKS!!!   Has it really been two weeks since I last posted!?  My gosh, I really don't have any great excuses other than: my husband and I took a much needed get away without the little one, upon returning home our little one has been sick since, and I have been keeping myself busy with a few sewing projects and some scrapbook pages!  Whew!  I guess I have been busier than I thought.  Here is one page I made recently.  Now that our little one is over a year old I am finally scrapping my pregnancy pics!  :)

I picked up some of the new Cosmo Cricket lines at our local scrapbook store...LOVE THEM!!!

I am anxiously waiting to get a phone call from a good friend who is having a scheduled c-section today with her fourth child!  I am so excited to head to the hospital to hold her new little one!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you're all having a good Thursday!

Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my 26th birthday!  My day included breakfast with my hubby at a fun little diner downtown, perusing through some fun antique stores, and lunch with some sweet friends!  It was a great day!  And to top it all off my mom got her May issue of Creating Keepsakes in the mail!

I didn't even know this issue was out yet but I was so excited to see one of my pages made the front of their "Seasonal Solutions" section!  So fun!  It is a great little section all about motherhood and creating pages that reflect our jobs as moms.  It is definitely an issue worth checking out!

So, I thought I would share this page with you today.  It is the coordinating page that goes with the page which was published in Creating Keepsakes <---click here and you will see my page on the scrolling slideshow too!

Hope you are all having a wonderful day!

And the winners are...

And the winners are...Olive Oyl and Nicole!

Olive Oyl I will be sending you your free copy of the You're Invited Idea Book, and Nicole I will be sending you your free copy of Scrapbook Trends March Issue!  I will also be including some free scrappy goodies for you!  Congrats chicas!  :)

My husband was sweet enough to help me pick the winners.  He didn't even know I was doing a give away so I just had him pick two numbers without telling him why.  After he picked the numbers I told him, "you just picked two winners!"  He was a bit confused until I explained.

Hope you're all having a fabulous Saturday!  We just got back from a fun birthday party.  The little guy is down for a nap and his daddy just fell onto the couch for a nap too.  I think I may join them.  I am feeling really tired today!

Sew fun!

Okay, so nothing scrappy to share with you today but I do have a few things that have really caught my eye and got my giddy!  So my new secret is that I FINALLY got into sewing!  My sweet mom gave me this little sewing machine that I think should probably only be used for paper-crafting but I just had some windows in my house calling for curtains.  Well, I just finished my first sewing project!  I made a valance for over our sliding glass doors in our family room.  A super easy, beginner project but I am just proud of myself for figuring out how to use the sewing machine in the first place!  My mom is a master seamstress and makes all kinds of beautiful and complicated things.  She had tried to teach me over the years but I never really caught on.  I guess I am more of a self-taught person.  Anyway, all that to say here are a few things that I am excited about now that my craftiness has expanded to sewing!  Enjoy!

First, Cosmo Cricket's new Cogsmo fabric!

Second, these adorable book covers by Christina's!

And third, this fabric banner by Elizabeth Kartchner (if only I had a little girl to make it for)!

Oh, and a little paper crafting inspiration too: Handmade Wreath's!  What do you think?

Hope you're all having a wonderful Friday!  Don't forget you have until midnight tonight to enter the drawing for my first giveaway!  See this post!

A little inspiration for you!

I'm trying to get better about posting everyday!  Even though I don't have anything scrappy of my own to share everyday I thought I will start sharing some of the things that inspire me!  I just found Jordan Ferney blog and love it!  Check out these adorable balloon boat invitations she made!

Hope you're all having a wonderful day!  You still have time to enter the drawing for my giveaway!  See my previous post!
