My Man

Today marks 3 years since my husband and I where married.  It has been a blast and I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband.  Just thought I would jump on here real quick and share with you the card I made for him.  Masculine cards are always hard for me but I think he will like it!

Hope you're all having a great day!

Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my 26th birthday!  My day included breakfast with my hubby at a fun little diner downtown, perusing through some fun antique stores, and lunch with some sweet friends!  It was a great day!  And to top it all off my mom got her May issue of Creating Keepsakes in the mail!

I didn't even know this issue was out yet but I was so excited to see one of my pages made the front of their "Seasonal Solutions" section!  So fun!  It is a great little section all about motherhood and creating pages that reflect our jobs as moms.  It is definitely an issue worth checking out!

So, I thought I would share this page with you today.  It is the coordinating page that goes with the page which was published in Creating Keepsakes <---click here and you will see my page on the scrolling slideshow too!

Hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Summertime cards & my 1st PUB!!!

So, obviously I didn't get around to posting more of my summer cards over the weekend, but here are two more.  I finally pulled out this CTMH stamp that I had sitting in my stamp stash but hadn't used yet!  Isn't it a fun stamp?

Oh, and I have some EXCITING NEWS!!!  My first two cards have been published by Scrapbook Trends!  I have one card in their March Issue and one in their You're Invited Idea Book.  I am a bit sad cause I haven't gotten my copies in the mail yet but I saw them in our local scrapbook store today!  I feel so honored to have had the chance to get published and am quite excited for further future opportunities!

I am hoping to have a giveaway soon to celebrate!  Check back over the next couple days for a chance to win some yummy scrappy supplies!

Birthday Fun!

Sorry that I have really been slacking on this here blog of mine!  I just can't seem to get myself organized these days.  We moved, then had family in town along with my son's first birthday party, and now I have got my hands full with my little guy  being sick.  I am hoping it is just a cold and not the flu!  Yuck!

Anyhoo, I just thought I would jump on here today and let you know I haven't totally disappeared and show you some things I put together for my son's b-day party as promised.  His favorite toys are balls...they have been since he was really little!  So we decided to do a ball-themed party.

The invitations I cut using my Cricut, and then I finished it off by adding some buttons by American Crafts.

The party favors made using recycled baby food jars, red spray paint, some My Mind's Eye paper, twill, my Cricut, and CK Printer Font.

And a little banner I threw together real quick for the occasion using some My Mind's Eye Paper, my Cricut, and some orange pom-poms.

Hope you are all having a wonderful Monday!

Fab5 and A Christmas Layout

I made the Fab5 for the second time over at 2S4Y!!!  So fun!  Thanks Kazan & Laura!  I feel honored!

Well, even though I am a bit embarrassed of my yellow photos I thought I would share this layout with you anyway (I am working on my photog skills).  I did this layout using a sketch from Becky over at PageMaps!  It is a great sketch!  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  Hopefully I will be back later today to show you more of the Christmas gifts I created!  Don't forget I have stamps for sale!  See this post!

Congrats...

Here is a card I made this week using Kazan's sketch from 2S4Y.  I made it a to be a wedding card to give to a bride and groom, but when my husband saw it he said he thought it looked more like a graduation card.  Oh well, guess it could go either way.  I just love this Basic Grey paper and these sparkly Thickers chipboard letters!

Peace

Here is a card I did using the CPS sketch for this week!  I know, it's kinda weird to see a butterfly on a Christmas card...but I like it!  Hope it helps brighten your day and get you into the Christmas spirit!

Here comes TROUBLE...

Having a baby has made scrapbooking even more fun for me!  This is one of my favorite layouts that I have done with pictures of my son.  We were given this book at a baby shower and it is honestly the coolest book.  It is called The Dangerous Book for Boys and it is full of great ideas of fun and crazy activities to do with boys.  Of course we haven't gotten to really use it yet because it is more for elementary and middle school aged boys but my husband and I can't wait to use some of the ideas!  If you have boys you should definitely check it out!

Anyway, one day (when my son had just figured out how to crawl) he went over to the bookshelf and pulled this particular book off the shelf.  It made me chuckled because the picture he made with the book described exactly how I was beginning to feel now that he was crawling.  My whole world seemed to be changing with his mobility and ability to get into everything and explore everything!  I know having grown up with three brothers that a world with boys is full of danger, adventure, exploration, and fun!
