Toddler shirt and belt

Another little fun project I did recently was to make my little man a fire truck shirt.  He LOVES fire trucks and gets so excited when he gets to see one up close!

I made his little belt with some of my favorite Cosmo Cricket ribbon!!!  It is so hard to find cute toddler belts.  All my little guy's new fall/winter pants are a little too big right now, which is just right...gives him room to grow.  I think I am going to whip up a few more of these little belts.

It's been a while...

Yes, I am still alive! Wow, I can't believe it has really been 4 months since my last post on here! Before you judge me lazy and totally disconnected let me explain myself. Back in May I discovered I was pregnant with our second child two days before my husband's birthday! Hooray! So, my son and I surprised him on his birthday telling him we were going to have another addition to our little family! My due date is March 2nd and we will find out the gender on October 13th! We're SO excited!!!

Anyhow, my horrible morning sickness started with a BANG! the morning of 4th of July and for about 8 weeks I was sick as a dog! So, I have spent the last four months sick and then recovering from being a hermit for so long. It has been horrible being sick, but I am not feeling a lot better and actually beginning to enjoy being pregnant again. Although, it is definitely more tiring this time around since I am chasing toddler everyday. Here I am at 12 weeks!

I did manage to do a few crafty things in the last four months. Here is a peek at what I have been up to.

A card for my husband's birthday.

One quick layout with photo's that should have been put on a page long ago!

And my first attempts at embroidering and sewing any kind of children's clothing! These were made as gifts for two very special little boys!

And here's the cute tag I made to wrap up the second jacket.

What do you think? I guess I haven't been totally lazy the last few months! Thanks for come back to visit me! Check back tomorrow for a little giveaway I am doing in celebration of my returning to the blogging world!

Today marks 3 years since my husband and I where married.  It has been a blast and I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband.  Just thought I would jump on here real quick and share with you the card I made for him.  Masculine cards are always hard for me but I think he will like it!

Thanks

SO SORRY I have been M.I.A this past month!  The month of May was crazy busy for my family!  From a road trip to New Mexico to family coming to visit, I haven't had time to do a single creative thing!  Although, I did find time to make invitation and party favor's for what we called a "Post Partum Pamper Party".  Look here to see pics!

Anyhoo, just wanted to jump on here and say thank you to my readers!  I have not forgotten about you or this here blog of mine.  I promise to start posting more often!  Here is a card I made a little while back!  I finally got bold and pulled out my acrylic paints to use on my cards and scrapbook pages!  So fun!  You should try it!

Happy Monday!

Growing & Glowing

TWO WEEKS!!!   Has it really been two weeks since I last posted!?  My gosh, I really don't have any great excuses other than: my husband and I took a much needed get away without the little one, upon returning home our little one has been sick since, and I have been keeping myself busy with a few sewing projects and some scrapbook pages!  Whew!  I guess I have been busier than I thought.  Here is one page I made recently.  Now that our little one is over a year old I am finally scrapping my pregnancy pics!  :)

I picked up some of the new Cosmo Cricket lines at our local scrapbook store...LOVE THEM!!!

I am anxiously waiting to get a phone call from a good friend who is having a scheduled c-section today with her fourth child!  I am so excited to head to the hospital to hold her new little one!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you're all having a good Thursday!

The Day You Were Born

Here is a little something I have been wanting to make for about a year!  It's a little mini album with pictures that my best friend Ellie took of us at the hospital the day our son was born!  I absolutely love these pictures and I am soooo glad she brought her camera that day!  Thanks again Ellie!  Enjoy!

Off to watch a movie with my hubby!  Hope you're having a great Saturday night!

ABC...

Hello!  Just thought I would hop on here real quick to show you the card I managed to find time to make this week using Kazan's sketch over at 2S4Y.  I'm still in the process of getting my new scraproom organized but I had to stop and create something real quick in order to give myself a boost of motivation.  Now if I could just figure out how to motivate my hubby  to hang some shelves for me...hmm...any ideas?

Hope you're all having a great Thursday!

All supplies by Cosmo Cricket except button by Making Memories & floss by Karen Foster.  I also used my Cuttlebug for the little embossing.

Robot lunch box

Here is a little something I made a while back for my friend, Lorie's, little boy who was turning one!  I didn't even know it but it just turns out that she LOVES robots!  :)  Speaking of Lorie, she is an amazing photographer and also very creative!  If you are looking for something cute you should check out her Etsy store!  Anyway, this was just a little gift for her adorable son Henry.  I thought maybe he could use it to keep some little toys in or something, and mom could use the mini album to fill with pics from his b-day party or his second year.  I used almost all Cosmo Cricket products and the little lunch box I picked up in the $1 section at Joanne's.

It's been a while...

Wow, I know, I have been missing in action the last TWO WEEKS!  Yeah, it's crazy!  I have been busy send out Christmas cards, decorating for Christmas, shopping for Christmas, making Christmas presents, etc.  Christmas is keeping me busy this month but I love it!  It is our son's first Christmas so there is something joyful about sharing in his first experience of the day Christ was born!

Anyway, on to more scrappy stuff!  I wish I could show you some of the things I am making as Christmas presents but it would ruin the surprise if some particular family members decided to check my blog this month!  :)  So maybe I will show you after Christmas!  Although, here is a layout I did this weekend with a picture I took on Thanksgiving! I used a sketch from Becky over at PageMaps!  She is having a little contest over there you should check out!  She asked us to use her sketch to scrap something we are thankful for!  My husband and son are definitely what I am most thankful for!

All products are from Cosmo Cricket expect ribbon, button, & ric-rac are from my craft supply. And I used my Sepia writing pen from Martha Stewart Crafts for the journaling.

Here comes TROUBLE...

Having a baby has made scrapbooking even more fun for me!  This is one of my favorite layouts that I have done with pictures of my son.  We were given this book at a baby shower and it is honestly the coolest book.  It is called The Dangerous Book for Boys and it is full of great ideas of fun and crazy activities to do with boys.  Of course we haven't gotten to really use it yet because it is more for elementary and middle school aged boys but my husband and I can't wait to use some of the ideas!  If you have boys you should definitely check it out!

Anyway, one day (when my son had just figured out how to crawl) he went over to the bookshelf and pulled this particular book off the shelf.  It made me chuckled because the picture he made with the book described exactly how I was beginning to feel now that he was crawling.  My whole world seemed to be changing with his mobility and ability to get into everything and explore everything!  I know having grown up with three brothers that a world with boys is full of danger, adventure, exploration, and fun!
