I love my Mother!

When I saw the sketches on 2S4Y this week I was trying to figure out what kind of card to make with them.  I had just picked up these Hambly Screen Prints and thought of my mom when I saw the old sewing machine.  My mom loves to sew and she has an old sewing machine similar to this one so I had to make a card for her with it!  Love you mom!

For this first card I used the bonus sketch from Hanneka. LOVE this sketch!

And for this second card I used this weeks sketch from Kazan.  Another great sketch!

Gotta run!  I'll be back later with my supply list!  :)

Shopping and more...

Hey Everyone!  Just wanted to let you know that I opened my own Etsy shop!  If you have never visited Etsy you have got to stop by!  It has the most amazing things to buy!  Everything is either handmade or vintage items or items that can be used for your own handmade things!  I just posted my recent Christmas cards and I will be posting some stamps up for sale hopefully by the end of the day today!  Please stop by my store!

And here is something a little scrappy for your eyes to see!  I made this card a LONG time ago!  It is made with all CTMH materials and is just a fun little card to let someone know they are in your thoughts!  Gotta run...the little one just woke up from his nap!

All materials: CTMH

Hope you all are having a great Saturday!

Two More Non-Traditional Christmas Cards!

Well, I just loved this idea of non-traditional Christmas colors (especially with these beautiful snowflake ornaments) that I made two more cards with the same supplies using the sketches this week from 2S4Y.  The first I did using Laura's sketch #13, and the second card I did using this weeks bonus sketch from Kristen Swain.  What I think is so great about these cards is that they are both a card and a gift because the receiver can take the ornament off the card and hang it on their tree!  What do you think?

Patterned Paper: Basic Grey
Cardstock: CTMH (Pink Carnation)
Stamp: Sorry, I don't know (it is just one I found in my stash of "unknown" stamps).
Ink: White Pigment Ink (CTMH)
Accessories: Cricut "Home Accents" cartridge (Provo Craft), snowflake ornament (Target), ribbon & jewels (Michael's), sewing thread (craft supply)

Snowflake Christmas Card!

I used the CPS sketch from this week to make a Christmas card for the current Bitten by the Bug contest.  Regina challenged us to make a Christmas card with any Cricut cartridge of our choice, but we had to use non-traditional Christmas colors!  Isn't that a great idea?  I used my "home accents" cartidge to make the label and tied on this cute snowflake ornament that I found at Target for really cheap!  Making this card really got me into the Christmas spirit!  What do you think?

The sentiment is stamped with Black StazOn ink with clear embossing on top.

Here is my card using this weeks 2S4Y sketch by Laura!  I don't know why but this sketch was a bit challenging for me and I am not sure in the end if I really felt like I followed the sketch but here is what came of it.  :)  I was originally planning on making it a wintery Christmas card but the more I worked with the colors and paper the more I thought of spring!
